Mother's Day!

I had an absolutely wonderful 1st Mother's Day!  We spent the morning at Nonni's house with Nonni, Papa, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Andy, Aunt Denny and Emmy.  It was fun celebrating the day with a delicious breakfast with family.  Miss Kate managed to sleep most of the time, but was sure enjoyable during her waking moments!  After we got home, Mike surprised me with a picnic in the afternoon.  (Daddy and Kate sure did a wonderful job planning an amazing Mother's Day picnic!)  Mike made it perfect....champagne, strawberries, shrimp, bruschetta, and my favorite cookies!  Kate even picked out a new Coach purse for me:) The day was simply AMAZING.  I am so lucky to be the mommy of such a special little girl.

4 Month Doctor's Appointment

We went to the doctor today for Kate's 4 month appointment.  She's right on track with everything and is perfect!!!  Poor little girl had 4 shots today, but did great (I think it was worse for Mommy!).  Our pediatrician said that she should be sleeping about 10 hours a night-WHAT!!!  Hopefully we can wean her off her late night feeding and get on track with more sleep.

Some things Kate loves to do at 4 months:

• Eat her hands!
• Drool
• Smile -a lot!
• Take tubbies (baths in her tub)
• Attempt to roll over (she's done it once, on Easter).
• Fuss, Fuss, Fuss!

Our Little Love Bunny!

This was my first full week back at work and boy it was tough!!!    I never knew how hard it would be to go back to work after having a baby.  I was very lucky to be home with her for 15 weeks.  Only 9 weeks to go before summer vacation. My colleagues were so supportive and knew it was a hard week for me! We are looking forward to a great weekend ahead and enjoying the beautiful spring days!

We had a great St. Patrick's Day last week, we even took Lil' Miss out to dinner to celebrate!

A Little Love

February was a great month for us. I never knew that I could love someone as much as I do this little girl!  I knew when I fell in love with Mike it was such an amazing feeling...but having a child such an INCREDIBLE love!  We had a wonderful Valentine's Day filled with love! We also celebrated Mike's birthday and he got a new camera and loves taking pictures of our princess!

The Past Few Months

A quick photo update to get us current on our blog.  Little Miss Kate has been a true pleasure and we are sure lucky to be parents of such a wonderful little girl.  The past few months have sure been fun, although we've had some challenges along the way.  Enjoy the photos:)

It's Been A Long Time...

It's been way too long since I last posted.  Baby Katherine is already here and is just shy of 15 weeks.  I have a lot of updating to do on here.  I'll go back a few months and post some photos from when our little princess first arrived.  It was quite the ordeal getting her into this beautiful world (induction + 3 epidurals + 3 days later = spinal and c-section.)
We are enjoying life as a family of 3 and couldn't be happier!

Decorating the Nursery

Finally some decisions are being made on nursery bedding and decor. Of course, it will be PINK...but I had a hard time choosing between bedding patterns, fabrics...ahh, it was just too much. I chose an adorable bedding set from Land of Nod and have already ordered some pictures for the wall. Things are slowly but surely coming together.  

 

We ordered the rocker/glider today and that should be coming in about 6 weeks!  We still have a lot to do to the nursery including painting, window treatments, and new carpet.  It's all exciting, but time sure does seem to be slipping away from us.
